Services for Rose Bridges, 75, were held at the Jean Methodist Church with Rev. DeWalt offiicating. Mrs. Bridges had been a resident of Jean Texas most of her life. She was born in Arkansas.

Rose Petty married J. C. Bridges on 13 April 1913. Her husband preceed her in death.

Mrs. Bridges was a long time member of the Jean Methodist Church and active in church activities She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Survived by three sons - Zearl Bridges, Earl Bridges, Kent Bridges; two daughters - Mrs. Faye Butler and Mrs. Shirley Staggs; one brother - Baby Petty; six sisters - Mrs. Henry Guinn, Mrs. Edna Hazelton, Mrs. Nanny Adkins, Mrs. O.L. McGee, Miss Leila Petty, Mrs. Carl Stone; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
