Funeral services for well known Red Top farmer, E.B. Petty, 79, were held in the First Methodist Church in Graham with Rev. Harold Barnett of Loving and Dr. D.L. McCree, pastor, officiating. Masons had charge of the graveside rites. Mr. Petty came to Young County in 1909 from Hill County with his family.

Ephraim Blackburn Petty married Mrs. Lillian Lovern in Graham, Texas on 9 August 1925.

Petty was a member of the Methodist Church and the Loving Masonic Lodge.

Survived by his wife; four daughters - Mrs. Etta Belle Weaver, Mrs. Lola Joy Dickson, Mrs. Betty Bullard, Mrs. Ruth Ragsdale; one son - John Edward Petty; 13 grandchildren; eight sisters - Mrs. Nannie Adkins, Mrs. Bess Lemons, Mrs. Nettie Guinn, Mrs. Rose Bridges, Miss Lela Petty, Mrs. Lena McGee, Mrs. Edna Hazelton, Mrs. Arleigh Stone; three brothers - A.H. "Jack" Petty, Johnny Nail "Baby Petty" Petty and W.H. Petty
