Orus Lane McGee married Lena Petty 10 January 1925 in the Indian Mound Community.

Lena Henrietta Petty was born on the family farm in Navarro County, Texas. She moved with her parents to the Red Top community in 1906 from Hill County, Texas.

Services for Mrs. Lena McGee, 67, were held at Jean Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Loyd Sansom and Rev. Aston Pollard. A homemaker, she was a member of the Jean United Methodist Church. Mrs. McGee was a charter member of the Red Top Home Demonstration club and served in every office of this club. Mrs. McGee was a member of the Home Demonstration Council for Young County and Loving Eastern Star. Mrs. McGee was a longtime correspondent of the Graham Leader - Reporter. She wrote a column devoted to the Red Top News.

Survived by two daughters - Mrs. ElWanda M. Nall and Mrs. Marry E. McCaniller; four sons - Kenneth McGee, Glynn McGee, Darrell McGee and Gary McGee; five sisters - Mrs. Minnie Adkins, Mrs. Nettie Guinn, Mrs. Edna Hazelton, Mrs. Carl Staune; one brother - J.N. Petty; eight grandchildren.
