Clarence Emery, son of Thomas and Almeda Emery was born December 10, 1876 at Clearfield, Ia., and passed away February 28, 1957 at Belleville, Kan., at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 28 days.
When six years old he moved to Mahaska with his parents where he grew to manhood and later moved to his farm near Narka. When a young man he joined the Christian church.
On September 5, 1942 he was united in marriage to Mollie M. Smith of Chester, Neb. In 1952 he moved to Belleville where he resided until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mollie Emery of Belleville, two sisters and one brother, Lillie Emery of Chester, Neb., Annie Epler of Lincoln, Neb., and Guy Emery of Texas and several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
