She was loved both by the community and within her church. She was a member in whom we are proud and her example strengthened many hearts and lives. She was a loyal member of the Eastern Star. Lillie was always ready to help in whatever way possible.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother and seven brothers. Those relatives remaining to mourn her passing are: her sister, Mrs. Annie Epler, her brother, Mr. Guy Emery of Dallas, Texas, also nine nieces and seven nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday, April 11, from the Christian Church, Rev. Frank Perry in charge. A quartet, Mrs. Wilbert Crouse, Miss Lorna Truss, Kenneth Messman and Ernest Moxham, sang, accompanied by Mrs. Ray Truss. Pallbearers were John Sell, Jack Sell, Roy Canfield, John Kerr, Claude Canning and Adrian Dake. Interment was made in the Mahaska Cemetery.
