Susin Tennessee [Blackburn] Inman was the daughter of John C. Blackburn, who was born in Tennessee. Her mother was Sarah A. 'Sallie' [Crabtree] Inman Blackburn, who was born in Jasper County, Illinois. Sarah is laid to rest in the Havana Cemetery under the name Sallie Massie.

Susin's siblings were Alice J. [Blackburn] Gary and Lilley 'Emmaline' [Blackburn] George.

Susin married John Jackson Inman on March 9, 1884 in Yell County. Their children were Andy, Charley Harrison, Jesse Jackson, Arch Jackson, Harve Jackson, Sam Jackson, Rose Ann and Bert Inman. There were also five babies who did not survive -- four boys and one girl.

After living in Yell County, John and Susin farmed by the town of Sugar Grove in Logan County, first as sharecroppers and later buying a farm with a mortgage. Between 1910 and 1920, the family sold their farm and bought a small house in Havana.

Susin died of complications from diabetes in her home on May 19, 1950 and was laid to rest next to her husband in the Havana Cemetery.

"Mrs. Susin Inman, wife of John J. Inman, deceased, was the mother of thirteen children - eleven boys and two girls. Survivors are Charley, Sam and Andy of Havana, Mrs. Rosa Shaw of Illinois, Bert of Texas and Arch of Oklahoma; seventeen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. After several days illness, she passed away quietly Friday night, May 19, 1950.

"Funeral services were conducted in the evening of May 21st at the Church of Christ by H. D. Jackson in Havana and burial was in the Havana Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home."
