Lucinda 'Rebecca' Jane Blackburn was the daughter of John C. Blackburn and Hardena [Reece] Blackburn. John C. Blackburn and Hardena Reece were born in Tennessee and, soon after their marriage, moved to Arkansas. Their first home in Arkansas was by the town of Quitman in (then) Conway County, Arkansas. Hardena died there between 1850 and 1860 -- the cemetery where she was laid to rest is unknown. John then purchased a farm by Ranger in Yell County, Arkansas and married Sarah Ann 'Sallie' [Crabtree] Inman. He died February 1872 and is laid to rest in either the Ben Cemetery or the Dacus Cemetery in Yell County.

Lucinda 'Rebecca' Jane Blackburn was the eldest of John and Hardena's three children. She was born August 13, 1842 in Dyer County, Tennessee. Her siblings were William H. Blackburn (who died during the Civil War), and Catherine J. T. ‘Hazentine' Blackburn, who married John Herman Campbell.

Rebecca married Robert Oden Humphries on November 6, 1862 in Yell County. They had two daughters, Mary Hardena Harrell Humphries and Anna Oden Humphries. Robert died May 19, 1865 in Yell County and is laid to rest in the Ben Cemetery by the town of Ranger.

Rebecca then married William 'Carson' Campbell on December 27, 1866 in Yell County. William 'Carson' was born September 1, 1844 in Gibson County, Tennessee. He moved to Yell County, Arkansas as a small boy with his father after the death of his mother.

Carson and Rebecca farmed and raised their family in the Gum Springs Community of Yell County. Their children were John Harvey, William Henry, Harrison Monroe, Epammanondas, Emma Hazentine, Ella ‘Margaret', Willis Bessa, Walter Ernest, Charles Ennis, and Lillie Myrtle Campbell.

On January 4, 1915, Rebecca passed away and was laid to rest in the Dacus Cemetery.

Memorial for Lucinda Rebecca Jane [Blackburn] Humphries Campbell - Post Dispatch on January 28, 1915:

"In Loving Memory - Near 5 o'clock Monday morning, January 4th, the death angel softly entered the home of Mr. Carson Campbell, near Chickalah, with a summons for his dear wife. She had been in ill health but ten days yet bore her suffering with all patience, never once murmuring. Oh, how sad to part with loved ones whom we know can never come back again. We know she will be sadly missed, yet, dear husband and children, weep not as those who have no hope for your dear wife and mother is at rest, basking in the sunlight of eternal bliss where there is no sickness, sorrow, pain or death and where all tears are wiped away. She leaves a dear husband, four daughters, four sons, and a host of friends to mourn her loss. She was a true and faithful Christian, always speaking words of comfort to the unsaved, and sadly indeed will she be missed." E. M. C.

William 'Carson' Campbell died on November 7, 1922 and is laid to rest by his wife in the Dacus Cemetery.
