MRS. BERTHA E. SMITH
Mrs. Bertha E. Smith, 88, of Kunkletown, died Tuesday in Palmerton Hospital. She was the widow of Asher M. Smith.

Born in Meckesville, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Jennie (Meckes) Kuehner.

She was a member of St. Matthew's United Church of Christ, Kunkletown.

Surviving are six sons, Floyd E. and Roy H., both of Kunkletown, Clark C. of Effort, Samuel A. of Palmerton RD, Kenneth L. of Allentown and Clarence A., in Florida; two brothers, Arthur and Samuel, both of Kunkletown R.D., and two sisters, Beatrice, wife of Adam Meckes of Kunkletown R. 1, and Mrs. Elsie Craig of Palmerton; 32 grandchildren, 83 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kresge Funeral Home, Brodheadsville. Calling hours will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.
