POLLARD-Mrs. Irene Julia Pollard, 73, 2105 Van Wie Ave., died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 1965 in St. Joseph Hospital, Bloomington, after a short illness. Born Sept. 16, 1892, in Seward Township, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Brauer. Lived 20 years in Rockford, coming here from a farm west of Rockford. Married to Joseph H. Pollard in Madison, WI, Oct. 1, 1916. He died in 1962. Member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include: two sons, Harry, Winnebago, and Ray, Rockford; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Traum and Mrs. Berniece Makulec, both of Rockford, both of Rockford; one brother Laurence Brauer, Rockford; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers.

Services at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20, in First Presbyterian Church, with the Dr. James B. Adamson, church pastor, officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park. Arrangements by Burpee-Wood Funeral Home, 420 N. Main St. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19. Friends may contribute to a memorial fund at First Presbyterian Church.
