Services for Heiko Brauer, 60, 314 Sunset Ave., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Julian-Poorman funeral home, 304 N. 5th St., and burial will be in Winnebago Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 o'clock Wednesday night at the funeral home.

Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Gerald Boyer, pastor of Rockford Gospel Tabernacle. Mr. Brauer, a lifelong resident of Rockford and for 20 years employed by the J. I. Case Company, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday when working in the Case plant.

He was born July 31, 1896, in Seward township, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brauer, and married Dorothy Pollard Feb. 15, 1920. She died in June, 1928. He married Kathleen Keeling in Dubuque, IA, April 29, 1939.

Surviving are his widow; a son, Terry Colvin Brauer, at home; two daughters, Mary Alice Brauer, at home, and Mrs. Jane McGee, Winnebago; five grandchildren, Barry, Linda, Susan, William Jr., and Richard McGee, Winnebago; one sister, Mrs. Joe Pollard, Rockford; and two brothers, Lawrence of Rockford, and Oscar of Winnebago. Two brothers Ubbo and John Brauer died previously.
