BRAUER - John Brauer, 52, 2320 Mulberry St., died Monday, June 29, 1953 in Worrell hospital, Rochester, Minn., after a long illness. Born Aug. 31, 1901, in Winnebago county, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Brauer. Lived his entire life in the Rockford vicinity. Married the former Irene Steffen in Rockford Aug. 12, 1924. Employed by the J. I. Case company for 20 years. Member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow; daughter Ilene, and a son Jack, both at home; a sister Mrs. Irene Pollard, Rockford; and four brothers, Lawrence, Rockford, Ubbo, Pecatonica, Oscar, Winnebago and Heiko, Rockton. Services at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Will Bisgaard, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
