He was a former owner and operator of Rural Gas Co. in Belleville, Ks. He moved to Wichita from Hastings, Ne., in 1978. He was employed by Professional Agricultural Supply, Wichita.
He was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church of Wichita; Belleville Masonic Lodge No. 129 AF&AM; a Wichita Eastern Star lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie of 2842 N. Edwards, Wichita; three sons: Scott A. Eickman of Garland, Tx., James R. Eickman of Junction City; Tad D. Eickman of Bassett, Ne., one daughter: Deborah Joe Haer of Centerport, N.Y.; three brothers: Warren Eickman of Crete, Milton Eickman of Hebron and Neal John Eickman of Chester; two sisters: Ruth Eickman of Lincoln and Marge TeKolste of Des Moines, Ia.; a step-brother: E.W. Corbit, North Loop; two step-sisters: Ruth Canning of Seward, Ne., and Betty Casselman of Hiawatha, Ks.; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 22, at Bethany United Methodist Church, Wichita, Rev. Leslie Andrews officiating. Interment and graveside services were held at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, February 23, at the Chester Cemetery.
