Clara Bell Bailey was born at Colchester, Ill., May 10, 1872. She moved with her folks to Kerwin, Kansas at the age of eight years. On May 23, 1886 she was united in marriage to Richard Bennet Taylor. They moved to Colorado in 1888. To this union eight children were born, five of whom preceded her in death.
She died at Pueblo, Colo., April 22, 1935. She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Richard Bennet Taylor of Idalia, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Blanche Hill of Greeley, Colo., Mrs. Octa Ashliman of Idalia, Colo., and Mrs. P.A. Smith of Burlington, Colo.; an aged mother, one brother and two sisters, all of Denver, Colo.; eleven grand children, two great grandchildren and a host of other near relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Rouch funeral home in Pueblo April 24. Burial was made in Roselawn cemetery, Pueblo.
