OBITUARY :
DAVID H. BAKER, a well known resident of Leitersburg died at his home a few minutes after 3 o'clock Saturday morning from the effects of a hemorrhage, aged 77 years.

Mr. Baker had been seized with a hemorrhage Thursday. Friday he was in Waynesboro to attend to some business matters. While here he was taken with a hemorrhage. He recovered and returned home intending to go to Hagerstown Saturday to care for some business affairs there.

About ?????? Saturday morning he sustained another hemorrhage and five minutes later died.

Mr. Baker was a native of this section and lived in Leitersburg many years.

He is survived by his widow and these children, Daniel Clinton Baker and Frank Lester Baker, near Hagerstown; Walter Raymond Baker, Williamsport; Annie Baker, York; Clara Baker, near Greencastle, and Ida Baker, Leitersburg.

One daughter, Emma Baker was found dead in bed September 28 at her home in Leitersburg.

Mr. Baker is survived also, by these brothers, Supervisor A. P. Baker, Antietam Junction, Abram and Samuel Baker, Waynesboro; William Baker, Lagonier, Indiana and Joseph Baker, Leitersburg.

Mr. Baker was one of a large family of children, thirteen was the number in it.

One of his brothers, Benjamin, died in Libby prison. Men who escaped from there told that he starved to death. He was kept there so long that he contracted scurvy and all his teeth fell out. Thus handicapped he could not eat the hard tack given him and starvation resulted.

Funeral Monday, meet at house at 9 a.m. Interment in Green Hill cemetery.
