OBITUARY :
DANIEL BAKER a highly esteemed resident of this neighborhood, died at his home at Antietam Junction, Wednesday noon, in his 84th year.
The deceased had been confined to the house for some time with grippe, which two weeks ago developed into dropsy necesitating confinement to his bed.
All during Mr. Baker's life he had been a vigorous, well preserved and active man. During his early life he followed the occupation of broom making and butchering.
One of his chief pastimes was fishing which he indulged in to quite a degree.
He was a native of Adams county, and has resided at Antietam Junction for fifty years.
His wife the mother of thirteen children, died nineteen years ago.
Eight children survive as follows: David, at home, Samuel, Abram, Adam, and John, of Waynesboro, Joseph, Beaver Creek, Md., George, Marion, Indiana.
Funeral will be held tomorrow, meet at the house at nine o'clock and going to Prices church, where the services will be held. Interment will be in the graveyard adjoining the church.
