Oal O. Ring, 94, of Hardy and Cave City died Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at White River Medical Center in Batesville. He was a World War II U. S. Army veteran, serving in the South Pacific and Australia. He worked in the Kokomo, Indiana, area for more than 30 years before returning to Arkansas in 1973, living in Hardy until May, 2008. He was a bi-vocational minister until his retirement.

He was the father of Becky Way and husband John of Crossett. He is survived by two other children, Danny Ring and wife Joleen of Overland Park, Kansas, and Betty Greiner and husband J. R. of Greenwood, Missouri. He also leaves five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Services were held at the Rings Chapel Missionary Baptist Church near Cave City on Saturday, January 2, with burial at Sharpsville Cemetery in Sharpsville, Indiana, on January 4.
