Indianapolis Star - Sunday, October 28, 1906:

Stricken with typhoid fever as the result of being constantly in attendance at the bedside of her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Hendricks Bingham who died three weeks ago, Mrs. Hannah Hendricks died at 6:30 o'clock last night at the home of her son-in-law, George U. Bingham, on East Drive in Woodruff Place. Mrs. Hendricks tried vainly to nurse her daughter to recovery with a mother's tender care, but age had already weakened her, and she was unable to stand the strain. Her illness developed into typhoid fever, the disease from which her daughter died. Her condition gradually grew worse until death ended her suffering.

Mrs. Hendricks weas the widow of the late John Hendricks, who was a brother of former Vice President Thomas A. Hendricks. She was 70 years of age and was a prominent and faithful member of Memorial Presbyterian Church. She leaves two sons, John and Charles. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon with burial at Crown Hill Cemetery.
