He was employed with Marine Atlantic in North Sydney for 42 years prior to retirement. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley Crowther; sons, Brian, at home; Geordy, Ottawa; daughters, Donna (Mrs. Milton Bonnar), Glenda (Mrs. Jim Hiscott), Bras d'Or; four grandchildren; brothers, Don, George, North Sydney; sisters, Helen (Mrs. George Jardine), Josephine (Mrs. Don Bradbury), Marie Yetman, North Sydney. He was predeceased by brothers, William, Victor, Arthur; sister, Madeline; granddaughter, Teniele Madonna Bonnar. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, North Sydney. Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Rev. Peter Piva officiating. Burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney. Family flowers only.
