BONA, Donald P. - 76, 273 Mapleview Dr., North Sydney, died March 19, 1997, in Northside General Hospital, North Sydney. Born in North Sydney, he was a son of the late Jack and Elizabeth (Robinson) Bona. He was a mason by trade and was a member of International Bricklayers, Marble and Tilesetters Union. He worked for many years in the construction industry in Manitoba before retiring to North Sydney. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, North Sydney. Surviving are his wife, the former Nellie Fecio; son, Jack, North Sydney; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; brother, George, North Sydney; sisters, Tootsie (Mrs. Don Bradbury), Mrs. Helen Jardine, Marie Yetman, North Sydney. He was predeceased by brothers, Willy, Vic, Art, Joe, one in infancy; sisters, Madeline, one in infancy. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Rev. Peter Piva officiating. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Lung Association.
