She married Connie Pfannenstiel on Oct. 26, 1936, in Munjor. He preceded her in death Dec. 23, 1994.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Eucharistic Minister and a member of St. John's Auxiliary.
Survivors include three sons, Darrell "Jim" and wife, Firma, WaKeeney, Dennis and wife, Elaine, Hays, and Duane "Whitey" and wife, Becky, Topeka; two daughters, Jean Basgall and husband, Jim, Overland Park, and Gloria Koirth and husband, Larry, Munjor; a step sister, Henrietta Unrein, Hays; 10 grandchildren, Calvin Pfannenstiel, Grant Pfannenstiel, Jess Pfannenstiel, Andy Pfannenstiel, Jason Basgall, Curtis Koirth, Brenda Schoenberger, Jodi Basgall, Jill Sulser and Brandi Zimmerman; two step-grandchildren, Betsy Wagner and Shelly Seibert; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Norman and Stanley Pfannenstiel; a granddaughter, Debbie Schneider; two brothers, Alfred and Alvin Doerfler; a sister, Minnie Zimmerman; and a step-brother, Gene Doerfler.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Munjor; burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 20th and Pine, and from 1 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church. A Christian Mothers rosary will be at 5:30 p.m. today, followed by a vigil at 6 p.m., both at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Francis Catholic Church, Munjor, in care of the funeral home.
