She was born March 27, 1916, in Delaware, Ok. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church. She lived in Odessa from 1945 to 1994, when she moved to Northeast Texas.
Survivors include: Sons, James Vanley and his wife Joy of Rowlette, Alfred "Ace" Vanley and his wife Nancy of Odessa and Jack L. Vanley and his wife Letica of El Paso; daughter, Lynda J. Armstrong of Arlington; sisters, Edna Waller of Phoenix, Ariz., and Juanita Simen of Hobbs, N.M.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Gladys was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kathy Vanley.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2002, in the chapel of Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rev. Larry Elder officiating.
Interment will follow at Ector County Cemetery.
Services have been entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
