Hector M. Durocher, 41 years old, and who was employed as a shoe cutter at the J. I. Melanson & Bro. Shoe Co., died on Friday after a week’s illness with spinal meningitis. He was born in Montreal, Can., and had lived in Lynn for the past 15 years. He was a member of Lynn Aerie of Eagles and of local labor unions. He leaves a widow and a 10-year old son, Raymond.

Requiem high mass for Hector Durocher, of 37 Laighton street, was said this morning at St. Jean Baptiste church, with Rev. Fr. Arthur Mercier, celebrant.

Pall bearers were Romeo Durocher, Armand Durocher, Alderic Durocher, Roland Blackburn, William Dutille, and William C. O’Neill. Burial was in St. Jean Baptiste cemetery.
