Irvin Clark
CRESWELL-The funeral will be held April 9 for Irvin McClellan "Bud" Clark of Creswell, formerly of Oakridge, who died April 3 of age-related causes. He was 97.
Clark was born March 8, 1904, in Curtin to Martin and Elvina Neyman Clark. He married Olive Sutherland in Eugene on May 19, 1923. She died May 5, 1955. He married Martha Perkins in Reno, Nev. on July 28, 1962. She died June 23, 1978. He married Marguerite Landis on June 17, 1980. She died June 22, 1992.
He lived in Oakridge most of his life and moved to Creswell in 1994. He worked in the woods for many years. He also worked for his brother at Oakridge Sand and Gravel as a heavy equipment operator. His interests included painting, gold prospecting and welding. He always had a big garden. He enjoyed knitting socks and did so until he was 94. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, and attending his grandchildren's sporting events.
Survivors include five sons, Jerry of Creswell, Terry of Corvallis, Kenneth of Port Orford, Wash., Larry of Oakridge and Douglas of Marcola; two daughters, Flora Pugh of Philomath and Gloria Stevens of Oakridge; a stepdaughter Norma Jo Pifer of California; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Four daughters and five sons died previously.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene. Monday's services will be held at 2 p.m. also at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lane Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
