Son of John B (Henry) and Elizabeth Sigler Moore. Brother to Clara Moore Vosburgh (1861-1945), Martha Moore Murray (1863-1955), Clarence B Moore (1867-1943), Frederick Moore (1870-1947), Cornelia Moore Bates (1874-1967), Lillian Moore Baer (1876-1952), Esther B Moore Poole (1878-1952) and Garfield Moore (1881-1912) Constable for the Village of Tivoli and had worked for the New York Central Railroad. He married Edith (Rivenburgh, Father's last name) Rifenburgh (1876-1957) in the year 1894.
He was the Father to two Children, Edward L. Moore (1896-1964) and Ruth Moore Lynk (1904-1951). Giles and Edith's marriage had ended in divorce before 1920. Giles is listed as a boarder in the 1920 Census with his Sister in Law Nora Moore (Garfield's widow) and niece Ethel Moore. Garfield dies in Nora's home in 1928, Nora had married again and was then known as Nora Feldhaus.
