WOODLAND, Utah--Ralph Deloy Winterton, 85, died February 19, 1995 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

He was born on April 12, 1909 in Charleston, Utah the son of Hyrum S. and Sarah Van Wagoner Winterton.

On June 11, 1930 he married Elma Mary Rolfe in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died on July 23, 1988. As an active member of the LDS Church, he served as Seventies president, stake High Councilman, High Priest Group leader and in bishoprics. He was on the Wasatch National Forest Grazing Boards, president of the Utah Hereford Association. Active member of the Cattlemen's Association and the Utah State Fair Board.

Survived by sons, Lynn R. and Carolyn Winterton, Roosevelt; Seth R. and Susan Winterton, Woodland; brothers, Van Winterton and Omni Winterton, Roosevelt; sisters, Ruth Huff, Woodland; Eva Kohkonen, Logan; Stella Lewis, Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Dee; two brothers, Harold and Clair, two sisters, Grace Simons and Luella Walker, two grandsons.

Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 23, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Woodland LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in the Charleston Cemetery under the direction of the Crandall Funeral Home, Kamas, Utah.
