Graveside services for Loverda Bilbrey Upton, 86, of Cookeville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, at Cookeville City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mrs. Upton died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at her home.
She was born Dec. 27, 1922, in the Timothy Community of Overton County to the late George and Flora Howard Bilbrey. Her family includes two daughters and a son-in-law, Reba White of Cookeville and Shirley and Wayne McCarey of Summit Ridge, Colo.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Upton; a son, Jimmy Upton; six brothers; and two sisters.
