_______
Louis G. Pyles (1864-1930), b. June 2, 1864, in Hernando County. She married Winfield Scott Sowers on June 25, 1882, in Fulton County, Georgia. They lived all their married life on Marietta Street in Atlanta and had 11 children. All but three of the children were raised to adulthood. Louis died February 15, 1930, and is buried at the old Hollywood Cemetery in Atlanta. A letter she wrote in 1894 is here. [Information from Laura Sowers Ford.]

This is an unmarked grave. The cemetery has been thoroughly and systematically searched. A marker was not found for Mrs. Sowers.
---------
Winfield Scott Sowers was the son of Felix Sowers and Martha A. Unknown/Sowers.

Other known children are Mattie b. abt 1885, David /Willis, b. about 1899, Larimore F., born about 1905, Gladys O. Sowers, born about 1908. If you have information on this family, please contact me.
-----------------
His father was Felix Sowers and his mother was Martha Ann Bradshaw.
Just FYI: I noticed on another page that Felix Sowers date of birth was listed as 1824. However I had previously found his date of birth as 1803. Felix mother was Maria Barbara Sink born, Jan 8, 1776 and died Jan 29, 1818. So Felix could not have been born in 1824, six years after his mother's death.
