According to Mattie's father, David Hope's Bible, the birth date was entered. Also her marriage date was 17 Feb. 1874. Not in the Bible, but supposedly on her tombstone is her death date of Martha Hope Pyles dod 10 May 1934. My late mother (1919-2017) stated that she visited Martha (Mattie) Hope Pyles in Ocala as a young girl.
