Martha Robinson, the 11th child of Peter Robinson, Sr. and second wife Experience Lumbert, bapt. May 31, 1713 at Norwich, Conn. and d. unmarried Feb. 14, 1753 at Windham, Conn. If, according to her gravestone, Martha died "aetatis 41 y.," Martha was born between Feb. 15, 1711/2 and Feb. 14, 1712/3, which fits with her date of baptism (she was bapt. after she was b., a necessary requirement often forgotten).

According to the 1925 published Robinson Genealogy, Martha m. Barnabus Allen, b. Feb. 24, 1728/9 at Norwich, s. of Joseph Allen and Rebecca Fuller. But, the Windham vital records clearly indicate Barnabus m. his cousin, Elizabeth Fuller, Apr. 21, 1752. Elizabeth (Fuller) Allen was b. Nov. 7, 1728 at Mansfield, Conn., dau. of Rhodolphus Fuller and his first wife Ann Hall. After Elizabeth's mother Ann died, she became the stepdaughter of Martha Robinson's youngest sister Anna, the second wife of the same Rodolphus Fuller. In addition, at the time of her birth Elizabeth (Fuller) Allen was already the niece-in-law of Martha Robinson's older brother Peter Robinson, Jr. (whose wife Ruth was Rhodolphus Fuller's sister).

The claim that Martha Robinson was married is the result of misinterpreting the abbreviation "Mrs." on her gravestone, which in the 1700s did not necessarily refer to a married woman.

See Barnabas Allen and wife Elizabeth Fuller, futher confirmation that the 1925 Robinson Genealogy is in error regarding Martha.
