She was born June 3, 1908 in the Town of Marshfield near St. Joe a daughter of the late Henry & Margaret (Stephanie) Fuhrmann.
Sylvia attended St. Joseph Catholic Grade School in St. Joe. On June 19, 1934 she married Marvin Mueller at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe. She and her husband farmed all the married life in the Town of Calumet near Marytown. Her husband, Marvin, preceded her in death on September 2, 2003.
Sylvia was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her 4 children, Valeria (Andy) Pethan of Chilton, Wilmer (Janelle) Mueller of Marytown, Bernard (Nancy) Mueller of Marytown and Anna Marie (Dr. Louis) Galang of New London; a daughter-in-law, Liz Mueller of Madison; 28 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; a son, Lloyd Mueller; a granddaughter, Laura Pethan; 3 brothers, Christ, Ervin & Bernard "Ben" Fuhrmann and 3 sisters, Rose Sabel, Julia Wagner and Elizabeth Ott.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM on Friday August 31, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marytown. Rev. Joseph Coerber, Pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home 1311 Thorp Street St. Cloud on Thursday August 30th from 4-8 PM and again at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9-10 AM when brief family rites will be held at the funeral home.
A prayer service will be held at 5:00 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home.
