Wanda Boone Dale

Mrs. Wanda Boone Dale, age 83, of Marion, N.C. passed away on Monday, October 19, 2009 at Autumn Care of Marion after a period of declining health.
A native of Mitchell County, she was born on February 12, 1926 to the late Milton and Minnie Murphy Boone.
She was a charter member of New Horizon Baptist Fellowship where she was a choir member from its inception. Wanda was a beautician in Marion for many years and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel and Paul Boone; sisters and brothers-in-law Doris Morgan and her husband John and Evelyn McKinney and her husband Arthur; and brothers-in-law Melvin McKinney, Dan Jarrett, and Dr. Bill Bell.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Eugene Dale; a son, Gary Dale and his wife Judy; a granddaughter, Allyson Camby and her husband Darrell; two great grandsons, Taylor and Casey; sisters Georgia Jarrett, Naomi Dellinger, Rene Bell, Kate Wilson and her husband Roger, Florabell Phillips and her husband Larry, Loretta McKinney and her husband Neil; and a sister-in-law, Yvonne Boone.
Burial will be in McDowell Memorial Park.
