Paul Milton Boone, age 68, of N. C. Hwy. 80, the Rebels Creek Community, died unexpectedly surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at his home after a twelve year battle with cancer and more recently a two year battle with heart complications.
A native of Mitchell County, he was the son of the late Milton and Minnie Murphy Boone. He was the Co-Owner of B & W Stone and Mount Mitchell Landscaping Company. He was a member of the Rebels Creek Baptist Church and a member of the New Covenant Church in Marion. He was preceded in death by a brother; Daniel Boone; and sisters and brothers-in-law; Doris and John Morgan; Evelyn and Arthur McKinney; Melvin Dellinger; Dan Jarrett; and Dr. Bill Bell.
The funeral services for Paul Boone will be conducted on Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Grindstaff Memorial Chapel of Webb Funeral Home. The Rev's. G E Freeman and Tony McKinney will officiate the services. Interment will be in the Rebels Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour in the funeral home chapel.
