Doris Morgan, of Mountain View Drive, died Tuesday, March 22,2005 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Milton and Minnie Murphy
Boone, and wife of the late John Morgan. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Daniel Boone. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Pitman of Spruce Pine; sisters, Georgia Jarrett of Bakersville, Naomi Dellinger of Spruce Pine, Evelyn McKinney of Morganton, Wanda Dale and Rene Bell, both of Marion, Kate Wilson of Woodleaf, Flo Phillips of New London, and Loretta McKinney of Hickory; a brother, Paul
Boone of Bakersville; one grandson; and two great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Don Price officiated. Burial was in Spruce Pine Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 1 p.m. until the service hour Thursday at the
church. Webb Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Mitchell County, P.O. Box 38, Spruce Pine, NC 28777;
