ESTELL KEMP
Estell Kemp 42, Cape Sandy merchant and Republican nominee in last week's primary for trustee of Ohio township, died suddenly at his home early Sunday morning, Funeral service were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr Kemp stricken early Sunday morning with a heart attack, died within a very short time. He had suffered recurring heart trouble for several years, and when stricken Sunday belied his condition was not serious and did not want a physician called, according to Coroner William I. Sowers, who investigated. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ola Kemp; a young son and a young daughter, at home; three sisters, Mrs. John Johnson, Mrs. Albert Bullington and Mrs. Oscar Coleman, and a brother, John Kemp.

Pleasant Ridge--- Estel Lawrence Kemp was born September 25, 1900, and died May 10, 1942, aged 41 years, 7 months and 15 days. He married Ola May Bills Colglazier on February 19, 1923. To this union two children were born M. J. and Norma. He is Survived by his wife, two children, five sister; Mrs. Lena Bell Coleman, of Cape Sandy; Mrs. Nerva Harvey, of Alton; Mrs. Bessie Johnson, of Alton; Mrs. Maudey Bullington. of Alton; Mrs. Nell McLain, of Tobinsport; Mis. Alley Gaither, of Moweaqua, ILL; two brothers; George Kemp, of Moweaqua. ILL. and Jack Kemp of New Albany. His parents and one sister precede him in death. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. lodge. His personality and fine disposition, his friendship toward everyone and his willingness to let others live as well as himself, reveals the real man that he was. Sunset and evening star, and one clear call for me! And many things to be moaning at the bar. When I put out to sea. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 12, at 1:30 P.M. at the Baptist church. Interment was in the church cemetery. Services were in charge of the Rev. J. C. Gray, pastor of the Methodist church, and the Rev. C. I. Dale, pastor of the Baptist church, the Alton I. O. O. F Lodge conducted services at the grave.
