Mrs. Josephine Lawson, state pioneer, and 89er died Thursday following a long illness at the home of her Roy Lawson, of route 10. She was 93 years old.

Mrs. Lawson come to Oklahoma from Kansas in the run of 89 with her husband, the late James M. Lawson. The settled six miles northeast of Yukon. Her family lived on that site until 1941 when she moved to Yukon. For the last years, she had lived at Geary. A member of the Christian Church.

Mrs. Lawson is survived by two sons, Roy and Ray Lawson of the city, and a daughter, Mrs. Virgie Cold, of Geary.

Services will be conducted at the Turner Funeral Home, Yukon, Sunday at 2 pm with burial in Bethany.
