Raymond Percy Aldridge, 81, of Sheridan, died Friday at Arkansas Heart Hospital at Little Rock.

He was born Dec. 5, 1923, at Baskin, La., a son of the late Soloman Lee Aldridge and Phalissie Williams Aldridge.

He was a member of Holly Spring Missionary Baptist Church at Star City.

He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.

He retired from the Ford Motor Company in Michigan.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bunny Aldridge.

Survivors include his wife, Doris McGee Aldridge; a son, Bill Aldridge of Sheridan; a daughter, Nadine Soliz of Dearborn, Mich.; a brother, Charles Aldridge of Magnolia, Miss.; two sisters, Edith Reeves of Winnsboro, La., and Helen Durham of Ferriday, La.; and four grand-daughters.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at Sheridan with the Rev. J.C. Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Center Campground Cemetery at Prague.

Visitation will be today from 3 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
