Services held Tuesday
for Thomas Gardner

Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist church for Thomas Rex Gardner, 58, who died May 10 in the Hobart hospital. Rev. Gerald Lunsford officiated at the services.

Mr. Gardner was born March 26 [1912] at Blair. He joined the Mount T.P. Baptist church in 1933 and married Odessa Perry, Nov. 7, 1934, and lived in the Sentinel area since that time.

He is survived by his wife, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Ward, Wichita Falls, Texas; and Mrs. Dortha Lawley, Sentinel; his father, Charley Gardner, Medicine Park; three brothers, Clarence and Chuck, Medicine Park; and W. C. Gardner, Hatch, N.M.; four sisters, Mrs. Pearl Qualls, and Mrs. Jewel Hendricks, Medicine Park; Mrs. Helen Nakabayashi, Mangum; Mrs. Bernice Carroll, Salem, N.M.; and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother and sister.
Burial was conducted in the Blair cemetery.
