Dortha Belle Lawley passed into eternal rest on September 5, 2016, in Elkview General Hospital, Hobart, Oklahoma.

She was born August 28, 1936, at Blair, Oklahoma to Thomas Rex Gardner and Metta Odessa (Perry) Gardner. She moved from Warren to the Port community in 1945 and graduated from Port High School in 1954.

Dortha married John C. Wright Jr. of Hobart in 1955. From this union she had one son, Johnny Keith Wright, of Purcell, Oklahoma, and one daughter, Teresa Gaye St. John, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Later she married Royce Ray Lawley of Sentinel who had two daughters, Connie and Vicki.

She worked at Midwest Telephone and Pioneer Telephone Co-op for 23 years, retiring April of 1998. Dortha enjoyed doing crafts and things for her family also enjoyed doing things with her friends. She was loved and cherished by many.

Dortha is survived by daughter, Teresa St. John; daughter-in-law, Ronda Lide; sister Roberta Marie Ward; niece Debbie and nephew Larry; two step-daughters, Vicki and Connie; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Royce Ray Lawley and Johnny C. Wright Jr.; and son Johnny Keith Wright.
