Reed C. Nelson, 63, died Sunday at his home following an apparent heart attack.
He was born September 21, 1906, at Bloomington to David and Daisy Nelson. When he was 10 years old, the family moved to Ashton and later to Pocatello.
On September 21, 1935, he married Mabel Jensen at Twin Falls.
Mr. Nelson was an engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Elks Lodge, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Kay Highland, Sydney, Nebraska; three brothers, Evan L. Nelson, Pocatello, Gordon Nelson, Ashton, and Grant Nelson, Northern Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Clarance (Vesica) Hagge, Ogden, Mrs. Howard (Irene) Rush, San Francisco; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Manning Funeral Chapel with Bishop Arthur D. West of the Pocatello LDS Tenth Ward officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
