Funeral To Be Conducted Sunday Afternoon at Beulah Church
A brief illness from paralysis resulted in the death of Mrs. Dorothy J. Varner, aged 68, wife of Joseph Varner, which occurred at 7 p. m. Friday at her home at Cottage Hill. She was stricken early in the week and since that time her condition had been critical.
Mrs. Varner was a lifelong member of the Olive U. B. church and was well known in the vicinity in which she lived. Besides her husband there survive three children; Mrs. Eva Cody of Pleasant Valley; Harley, of this city; George E., at home; six grandchildren and the following brother and sisters: Phillip Claypool, of California; Mrs. Oliver Riggle, of Pleasant Valley; Mrs. Samuel Birkshire, of Nashport, and Mrs. John Toothman and Mrs. John Plummer, both of Newark.
The funeral will be conducted at Beulah church at 2 p. m. Sunday and burial will be made in the church cemetery by Steele & Bowers.
