Funeral services for Marjorie Beth "Skeeter" Lewis, age 76, of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be 2:00PM, Thursday, October 8, 2009 at Cox Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Ninemire officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00PM - 8:00PM and Thursday from 8:00AM until service time at Cox Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Lewis; parents, Walter Estus Smith and Betty Emma Akin Smith; brother, Steve Dodson Smith; three sisters, Doris Rundell Vining, Lela Christine Smith, and Estus Smith.
Marjorie "Skeeter" Worked for the Office Of Family Support as a clerical from February 27, 1959 - April 14, 1989. She drove to the office in Tallulah most of the time. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Marjorie is survived by her son, Jerry Wayne Lewis of Griffin, Georgia; sister, Hilda "Tookey" Hankins of Pioneer, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, John Wesley Smith and Bertha Mae Smith of Oak Grove, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law, Jo Ann Hankins and Excell Hankins of Lake Providence, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Tom "Skippy" Smith and Frances Smith of Oak Grove, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Jack Smith and Marian Smith of Oak Grove, Louisiana; Numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Thrush, Danny Smith, David Smith, Tommy Hankins, Russell Bracey, Reece Traylor.
