Funeral services for Steve Dodson Smith, age 82, of Oak Grove, Louisiana will be held at 11AM Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Cox Funeral Home Chapel in Oak Grove.
Rev. Jimmie Herring & Rev. Jimbo Herring will officiate.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.
Mr. Smith died Monday, February 13, 2006 in the Morehouse General Hospital in Bastrop, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his son, Walter Edwin Smith; his parents, Walter Estus Smith and Betty Emma Akin Smith; 2 sisters, Lela Christine Smith and Estus Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Patsy Smith of Bastrop, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Leon Dwayne Frith of Oak Grove; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Michele Smith of Forest, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, David and Robbie Smith of Oak Grove; grandson, Carl David Frith; granddaughter, Kristen Elaine Frith; grandson, Holden Smith; grandson, Triston Smith; granddaughter, Tiffany Smith; granddaughter, Savannah Smith; grandson, Joshua David Smith; great grandchild, Emily Grace Frith; great grandchild, Teryn Lee Frith; brother, John Wesley Smith of Oak Grove; brother, Tom "Skippy" Smith of Oak Grove; brother, Jack Smith of Oak Grove; sister, Doris Vining of Oak Grove; sister, Hilda "Tookey" Hankins of Darnell, Louisiana; sister, Joann Hankins of Lake Providence, Louisiana; sister, Marjorie Lewis of Oak Grove.
