Roscoe C. Johnson, 88, of Pettigrew, died March 19 in Huntsville Memorial Hospital. Born Feb. 1893, in Madison County, he was the son of Joseph and Susan Profitt Johnson. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Vida E. Smith Johnson of the home, a son, Lester Donald Johnson of Boston, two daughters, Mrs. Velma Arvis Epperson, Augusta, Kan. and Mrs. Ruby McAlister, Wichita, Kan., 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were at 10 am Saturday in New Home Church of Christ with Otto Bennett officiating. Burial was in Cove Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Grandsons were pallbearers.
