Andrew Felix Lewis was the youngest son of Andrew Fielding Lewis and Susan A. Sloan (Lewis). He was only 24 years old when he died in 1887; he is buried near his parents. Cause of death is unknown. To my knowledge, he never married. He was listed in his parents' home in Pickens, SC, in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 census reports. In the 1870 census he was called "Faling" but that was the only time I've seen his name that way and on the tombstone it is "Felix". His obituary from the Pickens Sentinel, Pickens, SC, August 25, 1887 says, "Andrew F. Lewis died at the residence of his father on Seneca River, July 30th, aged twenty-two years." (However the paper got his age wrong, according to his tombstone he was twenty-four.)
