Funeral services for Clint L. Gideon, 71, of Leagueville were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Leagueville Baptist Church with Rev. Lewis McGarity officiating.
Interment was in Leagueville Cemetery under direction of Carroll & Lehr Funeral Home.
Mr. Gideon died Saturday at his home after a brief illness.
He was born May 2, 1909, in New York Community, and had lived in Henderson County all his life. He was a retired carpenter and a member of Leagueville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Gideon of Leagueville, a son, C.L. Gideon, Jr. of Tyler, two brothers, Avery Gideon of New Caney and Joe Gideon of Poynor; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Costlow and Mrs. Willie Terrell, both of LaRue; three grandchildren, Cheryl Gideon of Waco, Kelli and Kristi Gideon, both of Tyler.
Pallbearers were Howard Adair, Derl Adair, John Terrell, Wayne Gideon, Jerrell Shavor, Gary Costlow, Clark Howeth and Phil Conner.
