Leagueville News
The community was greatly grieved over the recent death of Mrs. Arthur Lamance. She had been in ill health several years. Funeral rites were conducted at the Baptist Church, interment following in the Leagueville Cemetery.
Among those left to mourn her passing are: her husband, four children, including a small baby and numerous other relatives. Our deepest sympathy goes to them in their time of sorrow.
Published in the Athens Review, February 27, 1936.

Lavonne Chase, great granddaughter of Julia Echols Gideon states: Julia, youngest daughter of Richard Bailey Echols, married John Gideon. They had one daughter, Gordie Chloe, born April 13, 1900.
