Funeral services for Mrs. Emma E. Gideon, who died at her home in the New York Community Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock, were held Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the Leagueville Church.

The services were conducted by the Rev. L.D. Rose, with interment following in the Leagueville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Cecil Gideon, Wayne Gideon, Coy Terrell, Freeman Terrell, Harold Spivey and Reagan Dingler.

The Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gideon was born on February 17, 1883, in Henderson County, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Barton.

Surviving are her husband, J. W. Gideon of the New York community, two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Terrell of Comanche, and Mrs. L.D. Costlow of Tyler; three sons, A.W. Gideon of Houston, C.L. Gideon of Brownsboro, and J.S. Gideon of Poynor; three sisters, Mrs. Ada Hatton and Mrs. Nora Barkley of Brownsboro, and Mrs. Florence Parker of Valejo, Calafornia, twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.
