Davis John Wright, 75, of 814 Chester Ave., East Liverpool, died Friday, Feb. 13, 1987, at 3:30 a.m. at his residence, following a brief illness.
Born June 6, 1911, in Pittsburgh, son of the late R. Morton Wright and Anna Lee Wright, he retired in 1976 from the Crucible Stainless and Alloy Division of Colt Industries, Midland, where he was employed as a crane operator.
A lifetime resident of the Chester-East Liverpool area, he was a member of Church of Christ, East Liverpool, and Local 1212 United Steelworkers of America.
Surviving are his wife, Marie Casto Wright, whom he married in 1930; two sons, John Wright, Amherst, Ohio, and Robert Wright, Elliott, Maine; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Patricia) Kennedy, Palm Springs, Fla.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and one brother, Charles G. Wright, East Liverpool.
Friends will be received this afternoon and evening in the ARNER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Chester, W.Va., where a service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Gallagher officiating.
Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester.
