Obituary: Red Wing (MN) Daily Register,
June 13, 1894:
"Mrs George Rowles died very suddenly this morning at her home in Belle Creek. She had not been ailing and was up and around this morning before her death. Mrs Rowles was 72 years old and had lived in this county 25 years. She was a kind and affectionate wife and mother. All who knew her had learned to love her for the many amiable qualities the good old lady possessed. She will be long and lovingly remembered. The deceased leaves a husband and five sons to mourn her death. The funeral will take place from the Catholic church in Belle Creek at 10 o'clock a.m., Friday."

The Cannon Falls Beacon, June 15 1894:
" Mrs George Rowels, for 25 years a resident of Belle Creek, fell dead Wednesday morning."
