"Farmer Dies Suddenly. Well Known Resident of Belle Creek Victim of Heart Disease. Special to the Pioneer Press. Red Wing, Minn, April 26 - Edward Rowles, a well-known resident of Belle Creek, died suddenly this morning at his farm home. Death was due to heart disease.
Rowles was a prominent Democrat, and for years held the office of town clerk of Belle Creek as well as other township appointments. He was an officer and director in the Farmers' Elevator Company of Goodhue. He was born at Waupun, Wisconsin and was about 50 years old. Besides his wife he is survived by four daughters and four brothers."
